WhiteCat Vs 9.8 is now FREE !

Although FREE, Copyright and ALL Rights are reserved by me Charles Peter White (the author).
I have removed the other FREE programms that came with the Registered Whitecat. As Whitecat is now FREE, Please download the products that you want to use. This was done to ensure that the overall sizes for download, was reasonable.

It is advised that you use WhiteCat in TRUE DOS mode (re-starting system in DOS mode) when Compiling. This ensures tight code and smaller over-heads. The created catalogue system can then be executed in both DOS and Windows environments without problems.
ALL settings, Advertising, Help and other screens within your newely created Cataloguing system are contained within the final executable file. You only need your product/data files and (maybe) a help file. You can also use WhiteCat as a 'Front End' for CDRs. Select here for details.

You have seen 'Catalogue-On-A-Disk' now have a look at this.

Cataloguing for Business or Private use with Ordering facility with Quantity on CASH items. You can also use this for Shareware programs ordering in BYTE size or by CASH value. You set it up to the way you want it. You can create catalogues in various languages and even in other languages Not Supplied with the package. Create your own HELP screen, your own ORDER form details and a host of other things.

How about running other programs or displaying something before Your created catalogue displays. Yes, you can do that aswell. There is a facility to execute programs, pass pictures or music files to other utilities and displayers and even execute other catalogues within a catalogue.

WhiteCat has a built-in Printing selection in Draft and 12c.p.i for ordering. Selection for printing to ports or a file. Selection on width and Height of Printout on paper with name and address of customer. All can be saved once setup by the customer. WhiteCat allows the business to setup all the necessary files, data files, order address, starting places for ordering 'tagging' and 'sorting'.

You can have up to 27 individual Catalogue systems on the same directory without conflicts !!!

This is the Main Creator that allows all entries to create you final cataloguing system.
Simple Keyboard selection with cursor movements to select the colour required.

Operates in DOS 3.2 and above, Windows 3.x, 95 and 98 and maybe others (not tested).

The created catalogue could end up looking like this......

The top window can page through to advertising screens with timed delay. These screens are from the actual FULL Demonstration Catalogues that can be created with the supplied files.

Pressing 'I' will give the main information page.

This shows the 'Printer' Selection page allowing the customer to set it up and 'SAVE' his or her required displays.

This shows what the customer has ordered via the Order Screen (F3).

Using WhiteCat as a 'Front End' for CDRs.

All you require on the CDR is a small ASCII file called Autorun.inf. Within that, one has a couple of lines of text which activates Windows 'Autorun' feature.

Example:
If executable file is in the 'Root' Directory.

[autorun] (This must be the very first line).
open=YourCatalogueFilename.EXE
icon=IconFileName.ico (You now save as Autorun.inf)

If executable is in another Directory.

[autorun] (first line)
open=FirstDirectoryName\YourCatalogueFilename.EXE
icon= FirstDirectoryName\YourIconFilename.ICO

If you do not have an icon file, just assign it to your EXE file...
icon=YourCatalogueFilename.EXE

DO NOT KEEP BLOWING CDRs just to check if your CDR will 'autorun'. Use a FREE program that will allow you to activate a floppy as a CD-ROM. This way you can check everything out as many time as you like. Manrun will also allow you to access CDROMS that have the 'autorun' feature turned of, at any time you desire.
