Do NOT pay anyone to receive Prizes Won.

If you have WON any prizes and a company states that you have to pay Administration costs, Postage, Delivery or an order must be made, DO NOT PAY or ORDER any item from them. Prizes are 'Prizes' and the company that issues such, must administer all costs involved to ensure that you receive them to your door. They can not force you to do anything to receive your prize !!

In some instances you may be liable to pay Taxes. With that in mind, when you are in receipt of your prize money, it would be wise to notify your Tax office to see if a payment is due. Please remember to do all communications in writing and keep copies, this way there can not be counter claims made against you if something goes wrong.

Over the years there has been an increase of 'bogus' companies asking people for money or to make an order in return for receiving their prizes. Most individuals have not heard of such companies, let alone personally entered into any of their competitions. Irrespective of what country the notification comes from, DO NOT SEND ANY FORM OF MONEY, PERIOD !!!!
AND DO NOT MAKE ANY KIND OF ORDER !!!

If any company asks for some sort of payment or order before you are allowed to receive your prize (or after), it is suggested that you treat them as 'suspect' and report them to the Trade and Standards and the Department of Trade and Industry. They may well advise you if the case should be reported to Scotland Yard's 'Fraud Squad'.
The United Kingdom has strict rules applying to competitions and prizes. It would be in your interest to acquire them for future reference.
