Cyrex MII 333mhz is only a old P250.

For those of you looking for a NEW 'Up-To-Date' computer, it is advise that you check very carefully what make and what is the TRUE (industry) speed of the main processor. It is well known within the industry that the Cyrex MII (M2) 333 chip is a 250 mega hertz speed chip and is really rated as a Pentium 250. This is a DINOSAUR compared to what is available today. I have one and its over 1,1/2 years old. You can check this out quite easily with some industry standard 'checking' software, which is available on the internet.
If you are not sure of the statements made here, you can check with computer magazines, the satellite programs called 'Chips With Everything' (CWE) and 'Master Class' (to name a few), both located at .TV (dot TV).

Various Satellite Shopping channels, high street department stores are still selling these computers. If you want something that is up-to-date, then choose carefully. Get the industry checking software from the internet and place a copy on to a floppy. When you go to examine any computer system, ask them if you can check the system out with the software. If they refuse, walk away and find some one who actually cares about your requirements. Always check to see if the system is not using re-cycled parts. After all, who wants to find that the components are no longer being suported or manufactured for replacement when things go wrong.

This industry is probably one of the only ones that sells items that the customer has no way of really knowing what is inside the box. You can not examine the contents, so its in your interest to check everything out! Make sure that EVERYTHING is supplied on the outset. CDs, Manuals and so on, for each and every component and software. Make sure that you have a BOOT DISK. This is used to help you to regain control of the computer if it crashes, allowing you re-install everything to get back the system as supplied on the out set. Never allow a company to offer re-installation and or customer support via the internet. This will lead to a great deal of frustration. After all, if your system crashes, how are you going to get on the internet without a system. DAFT isn't it!
